L2Tracker Companion
A Windows app that reads the Play Report from your Lineage II Essence client while you farm, and saves each session to your L2Tracker account. No numbers to type in.
Windows 10 or later, with an L2Tracker account.
How it works
- Sign in. In the tracker, the Token button at the top copies your sign-in token. Paste it into the companion, and it stays signed in until you sign out of it.
- Pick your character and spot, then press Start reading.
- Reset the Play Report in the game. That is where a session starts, and the companion notices the reset on its own. Keep the panel's Magic Lamps section open, so their XP is read too.
- Farm. About every ten seconds the companion takes a picture of the game window and reads the panel. It shows your XP and Adena rate as you go, and where that pace ranks among the spots this character has farmed.
- Save. The session goes to your account with its XP, Adena, Magic Lamp XP and the Play Report's own duration, and joins your spot rankings in the tracker.
What it does not do
The companion only looks at the game window, the way a screenshot does, and never interacts with the game. It is also new: not the bot that once went by the L2Tracker name.
- It does not read or change the game's memory.
- It does not modify the game's files or inject anything into the client.
- It does not press keys, move the mouse or send the game any other input: it never plays for you.
- It sends no picture of your screen anywhere. The text is read on your PC, by the text recognition built into Windows.
Whether a tool like this is allowed is up to your server's rules, so check them before you use it.
What it sends
To L2Tracker, only this:
- each time it starts signed in, its version, kept with the IP address and the time to help keep the service secure;
- while you use it, requests for your characters, spots and settings;
- when you press Save, the session it read: its character, spot and figures.
Apart from that it only asks GitHub, which hosts its downloads, whether there is a new version. Your sign-in token stays on your PC, encrypted for your Windows user account. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Installer or portable
The installer puts the app in your user folder, with a Start menu shortcut. The portable version is a zip you unpack into any folder you like.
Both keep themselves up to date. They look for a new version when they start and every few hours, download it in the background, and never restart on their own: a button in the window installs the update when you click it. What changed in each version is in the release notes.

Without the companion
You don't need it to use L2Tracker. On the website a session can be typed in or read from a Play Report screenshot, on any device. Get started.
